Kevin Pietersen names his three top knocks in Test cricket

Karachi: Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who is considered as one of the modern greats, has listed down his three top knocks in Test cricket.

Pietersen shared one of his knocks against Sri Lanka in 2012 where he scored 151 at Colombo which according to him is his best knock in elite form of cricket. “Often asked my best innings – THIS ONE! Only cos I thought there was NO WAY I could bat for longer than an hour or 2 at most in the heat in SL!,” he wrote.

The 39-year-old then mentioned his favorite three innings of his career in a reply of a Tweet where a Twitterati asked. “Where would you rate your 186 vs India at Mumbai in 2012-13? Haven’t seen many such counter-attacking knocks which changed not only outcome of the match, but the series too.”

“Top 3! SL 151, Wankhede 186 3. Oval 158,” Pietersen replied.

South African-born Pietersen played 104 Tests for England and scored 8,181 runs in Test cricket at an average of 47.28 with 23 hundreds and 35 fifties.
