Former England explosive middle-order batsman Kevin Pietersen is surprised and upset on the omission of Pakistan opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad from the Pakistan T20 squad against Bangladesh.
He took on Twitter to express his anger and termed this decision by the selection committee led by Misbah-ul-Haq as “Stupid”.
Just seen the team that PAKISTAN have picked to play Bangladesh.
How on this planet can @iamahmadshazhad NOT be in that squad???
His PSL numbers and domestic number are so much better than the batter picked ahead of him!

“Just saw the team that PAKISTAN have picked to play Bangladesh, How on this planet can Ahmed Shazhad is not in that squad?” He asked.
The 39-year-old said that his Pakistan Super League (PSL) and domestic performances are way better than the other batsmen picked ahead of him.
“His PSL numbers and domestic number are so much better than the batter picked ahead of him,” He added.
It must be noted here that Pakistan team head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq announced a 15-men squad for the upcoming shorter format series. Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ali, Haris Sohail were the notable omission from the squad whereas three uncapped players Ahsan Ali, Haris Rauf and Amad Butt are found their places in the team for the first time.
Experienced Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez have also made a comeback in the national side. The series will be played in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from January 24.
