Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to fifteen of the eighteen cricketers for the participation in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The three players that have not been handed over the NOC are Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Babar Azam. The reason behind not issuing the NOC to them is that they are contenders for a spot in the test squad for New Zealand tour.
A PCB official told Express Tribune, “These three cricketers are in contention for a place in the Test squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.”
“But if they are not picked in the 15 or 16 member squad for the tour, they will be granted permission to participate in the league,” he added.
The players that have got the NOC from the board include Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal and others.
The league is scheduled to be played from November 4 to onwards. Initially, the board did not want to allow the players to participate in the league and instead wanted them to play the domestic season.
