The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday rejected all the claims against players for spending a late night in ‘Sheesha Cafe’ before the match against arch-rivals India.

A picture is roaming on social media in which Shoaib Malik is seen with his wife Sania Mirza, Imam-ul-Haq, Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim in a ‘Sheesha Cafe’.

Disheartened cricket fans showed serious anger over the picture and demanded the cricket board for accountability of the players. The board in return denied the allegations and said the players were out with their families two days before the match.

“The players went out with their families on the permission of the team management and a night before the match against India, all the players were in the hotel,” the PCB said in a statement.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s poor performance against India raised many questions on the role of players and team management. The arch-rivals India outclassed the men in green by 89 runs.
