Pakistani born British boxer, Amir Khan assured the Prime minister Imran Khan for promoting boxing in the country by introducing some programs in this field to give talented youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Amir on Wednesday met PM Imran Khan in Islamabad to discuss how to promote boxing in Pakistan through different useful programs.
Amir, who aims to build boxing academies in all cities of Pakistan, is excited for the launch of the first ever boxing league in Pakistan next year.
He, in a voice message, said that it was great meeting Imran Khan where they not only discussed boxing but other sports as well.
“It was a brief meeting with the PM where we discussed different matters of sports,” he said.
Imran on the occasion said that his government is keenly looking forward to improving the sports infrastructure in the country.
He also praised Amir for sharing useful ideas for the betterment of sports in the country and also pledged him for full support.
Imran further said that there is a need to work hard for highlighting young talented athletes who always look for different opportunities to gain exposure.
