‘Indian team used to be under pressure against Pakistan’ recalls PM Imran Khan

Islamabad: Former captain and current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, revealed how the Indian team used to be under pressure while facing Pakistan during his playing days.

Speaking during Ehsaas programme Live Telethon which was telecast by a number of TV channels, including ARY News, PM Khan said that Pakistan was dominant against India during his playing days.

“When I used to play, Pakistan beat India often and at times I felt sorry for them. They used to be under a lot of pressure while playing against Pakistan,” he said. “I still remember when I used to go to toss with their captain, I’d look at his face & he would be looking scared,” he added.

Moreover, Khan said that India wasn’t their rivals in earlier times. “I think in our cricketing days, West Indies were a strong side and everyone aimed to beat them. India, at that time, wasn’t our rival. However, they built their team and now they are one of the strongest sides in the world,” he said.
