The president of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) General (R) Syed Arif Hasan is likely to overview the preparations in Quetta before staging the National Games.
Hasan while talking to the media in Karachi said that the DG sports Quetta has assured them to provide all possible facilities during the tournament.
“I will go to Quetta within two to three days to survey the preparations there for an all-important event,” he said.
Hasan also revealed that they are going to conduct Beach Games in Karachi which probably will contain international athletes as well.
“We are up with a plan to invite international athletes in upcoming Beach Games and some countries are agree to send their athletes to Karachi,” he said.
To a query about the worst condition of sports in the country, Hasan said that their POA is an advisory body and they have done so many things for the betterment of sports in the country.
“Sports need proper and strong infrastructure otherwise it will get more worst in future,” said Hasan is ready to work with the task force set up by the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He further said that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has asked them to include each clause of Vision 2020 in their constitution.
“Vision 2020 contain clauses which will help flourish the status of sports,” he said.
