Pakistan’s former captain Sarfraz Ahmed is highly motivating himself for making an early comeback in the national team.
While talking to the reporters in Karachi, Sarfraz said that his job is to perform and rest depends on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the decision-making body.
“Every cricketer’s duty is to play cricket. I am positively working hard to make myself stronger,” he said.
Sarfraz revealed that he respected the decision of the PCB to remove him from captaincy. “Wasim Khan came to me in Faisalabad from Lahore to reveal their decision. He told me that the board has decided to change the captain and I said it’s your decision, go ahead,
“See, my disappointment doesn’t matter. PCB appointed me as captain and now removed me. Its all up to them and I think they have the best plans for Pakistan cricket,” the wicket-keeper batsman said.
The most successful Pakistan’s captain in T20Is, Sarfraz believes that Babar Azam will do best for the team by the time. “He needs some time. He is young and has the power to deliver but things can’t get better overnight,” he added.
It must be noted here that Sarfraz was surprisingly sacked from captaincy in all three formats of the game. Azhar Ali was appointed captain in Test cricket while Babar Azam held the command of national team in T20Is.
