A meeting between Pakistan sports board (PSB) and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) held today at Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad to finalize the preparations for 2018 Asian Games.
PSB and POA decided in a joint session that training camp for the mega event preparations will start from June 20 immediately after Eid al-Fitr. Foreign coaches will also be provided while the teams will be finalized on June 13 in a meeting at Lahore.
The meeting was chaired by Arif Ibrahim, Director General of Pakistan Sports Board, along with the Vice President of Pakistan Olympic Association, Mr. Khalid Mahmood, Deputy Director General, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, Deputy Director General Technical Prime Dar, Vice DG Finance, Raja Ghazanfar Javed, and representatives of different games attended the meeting.
Various recommendations were reviewed in the meeting for the preparations of Asian Games which is going to be held on August 18 in Indonesia. The participants in the meeting were instructed to inform the Pakistan sports board by the names of their teams till 18 June, so that all arrangements can be completed for training.
Foreign coaches will be taken for hockey, sailing, Jo Jitsu and Tan Pin Ballong.
DG Sports Board said that Pakistan Sports Board will provide all possible assistance to promote sports and bring medals for the country.
