‘PSL 5’s knockout stage will be rescheduled once the situation gets better’ Mr Salman Iqbal

Lahore: Karachi Kings’ owner Mr. Salman Iqbal asked cricket fans to stay calm and safe as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 semi-final and final will be rescheduled once the situation gets better.

While talking to ARY News, Mr. Salman appreciated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for postponing the PSL 5 knockout stage as COVID-19 precaution. “Safety is everyone’s priority and PCB tried every possible thing to stage this year’s PSL in the best way. Unfortunately, we couldn’t continue with the last phase otherwise the whole tournament was fantastic from every perspective,” he said.

“We had a meeting with PCB high-ups and discussed all possible ways for the betterment of everyone. I was trying to talk to PCB regarding the matter as I wanted the board to postpone the remaining matches due to the current situation across the world,” he added.

Mr. Salman thanked all the foreign players to make PSL 5 bigger and better this year. “I would like to thank all our guests including players, broadcasters and everyone involved in making PSL 5 successful,” he concluded.
