DUBAI: Pakistan Super League (PSL) will hold its final in Lahore, a meeting attended by PSL Chairman Najam Sethi and the five owners of the franchises today decided here.
The decision being termed crucial for the future of cricket in Pakistan.
There were speculations about the scheduled final of the cricket league in Lahore, after a bombing attack claimed several lives in the historic Pakistani city and capital of Punjab province.
Najam Sethi, PSL Chairman and himself a resident of Lahore, had after the terrorist attack had said that the league’s final match will be played in Pakistan.
A crucial meeting of the franchise owners with the PSL chief today, however, cleared the picture as the teams have agreed to play the final in Lahore.
According to reports a list of all foreign players who will agree to play in Lahore will be prepared and be given to the two finalists to chose the players through the second draft of the tournament.
The final of the cricket league will be played at Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore.
