Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi has promised local cricket fans that the final of the league will be played in Lahore even if foreign players refuse to visit the country.
Najam Sethi issued the statement after Lahore was shaken by brutal bomb blast that took 13 innocent lives on Monday.
“The foreign players have refused to play the final in Lahore after Monday’s blast, but if the citizens of Pakistan want the final of PSL to be held in Lahore despite foreign players not participating in the final, then the final will be held in Lahore,” said Sethi in his statement.
Sethi added that agencies have assured foolproof security for the final of PSL 2017. Moreover, Punjab’s Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that Lahore is ready to host the big game.
Final of second edition of PSL was scheduled to be played on March 5 in Lahore, however PCB is yet to announce new dates after contacting the concerned departments.
