‘PSL in Pakistan will produce more young players’ says Sarfraz

Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed thinks that it is important to stage the whole Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Pakistan because it will help in bringing more young players in limelight.

“We have seen young players playing with more confidence here in Karachi which shows that home crowd is important for a player,” Sarfraz said while talking to the media at National Stadium Karachi.

The skipper applauded young spinner Umer Khan for showing his ability on a platform like PSL and called him a future superstar.

“You saw Umer bowling with full focus and I am sure working hard will take him high,” he said.

To a query about PSL lacks young batsmen, Sarfraz said that it takes time to set in the shorter format of the game. “We have young talented batsmen but there is a need to groom their skills,” he said.

The skipper of Quetta Gladiators is confident that his team will keep the things tight against Peshawar Zalmi in the final of the PSL season four on Sunday (March 10). “We as a unit are optimistic to finish the tournament on high this time around,” said Sarfraz who is looking forward to an exciting match in front of enthusiastic of Karachi.
