UK-based production house Sunset and Vine, that handles the broadcast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has pulled out from providing it’s services for the league’s final set to be played in Lahore on March 5.
Dubai-based company, Innovative Production Group has agreed to fill the void, ESPNCricinfo reported.
The Punjab government on Monday gave a go-ahead for Gaddafi Stadium to host the league finale after weeks of speculation amid security fears.
According to the report, overseas commentators: Danny Morrision, Alan Wilkins and Mel Jones are also reluctant to travel to Lahore and the PSL organisers are already seeking their replacements.
The PSL final is also set to miss the HawkEye technology, while Spider-cam is likely to be replaced by a drone camera.
Sunset and Vine expressed it’s reluctance to travel to Lahore for the final through an email to Pakistan Cricket Board last week.
Innovative Production Group was part of the PCB’s contingency plan.
