Pakistan Super League (PSL) is to feature caps with Abdul Sattar Edhi’s logo for highest wicket-takers and run-scorers of the tournament.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to pay homage to the great humanitarian by putting his logo on these caps. The brand ambassador of the PSL, Ramiz Raja presented the caps to the world.
“The great Edhi monogram is at the side of the cap,” told Ramiz Raja. “We want to promote his legacy for what a tremendous Pakistani he was, we are trying to pay him homage and trying to remember Edhi Sahab,” he said.
During the press conference, Najam Sethi also introduced artists, who will be performing at the glittering opening ceremony of the league, which include Shaggy, Ali Zafar and Shehzad Roy. Jeeto Pakistan’s host, Fahad Mustafa was also present at there as he will host the opening ceremony.
It is not the first time when PCB has honoured the great philanthropist, earlier in 2016, Pakistan team bore Edhi’s logo on their jersey during England’s tour.
The board also presented an official T20 and ODI jersey to Saad Edhi that had ‘Edhi’ written on it with shirt no. 1.
