Mohammad Suliman was on song with 4-31 which helped Punjab beat Baluchistan by 29 runs in the final of the Penatngular U-19 T20 cup at Multan Stadium.
Sheraz Khan was the other star performer with the bowl for Punjab taking three wickets for 18 runs in four overs.
Balochistan after winning the toss decided to bowl first on a wicket which offered a lot to the bowlers through out the whole tournament.
Punjab made the most of this opportunity as they put 161 runs for the loss of five wickets on the scoreboard.
Fahad Munir shined with scoring 64 runs laced with nine boundaries while Qasim Akram supported him well smashing 48 runs in 35 balls spread over five boundaries and a six.
Baluchistan did not impress with the bowl as Akhtar Shah and Bilal Khan took one wicket each.
In reply, Baluchistan gave a decent start to their inning but due to losing few early wickets they were seen under pressure.
Ashar Bhatti remained on top of Baluchistan’s batting chart with 32 runs while Mohammad Junaid made 23 runs.
Punjab clinched the prize bag of Rs 500,000 after showing splendid performance throughout while Baluchistan bagged prize money of Rs 250,000.
In individual performances, Owais Zafar named as the best batsmen of the tournament while Mohammad Suliman and Mohammad Raza-ul-Mustafa clinched best bowler and wicket-keeper award respectively.
