Mian Aslam Iqbal appointed as the new chairman of the Punjab Kabaddi Association (PKA) on Monday.
Alongside Aslam, Raja Basharat took charge of the association as the new president with a hope to flourish the sport in the province.
The General Council of the PKA unanimously elected Aslam and Raja for the posts
It is important to mention here that both will be deployed in the position for a period of two years.
Aslam is optimistic to work positively for the betterment of Kabaddi in the province.
“We will try to not disappoint those who showed believe in us by showing our strength while working,” he said.
On the other hand, the first tournament under new federation will take place in Gujrat in the last week of November.
The Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi Gold cup will feature 12 teams from across the country including Army, WAPDA, Air Force, Railways, Police, HEC, SSGC, SNGPL, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP.
