Carles Puyol showed his confidence over Barcelona and claimed that it’s a strong side and they can make a comeback from this rough patch to go on and win both the cup and the league.

While talking at a youth event in Berlin for the Premios Laureus academy, the Spanish legend said, “They are a great team and they have had a great season. They are in a rough patch, but they can still win the league and cup. It would be a great season if so. A lot of teams would love to be in this situation.”

He went on to say, “I’m very positive and I think they will do it,”

Puyol, a friend of the manager Enrique, showed faith in him, “He is going to keep going like always and they are not going to lose confidence. Winning the next few games and everything will return to normal.”

The former Barcelona star, Carles Puyol also addressed the spat between Barcelona’s Gerard Pique and real Madrid’s Alvaro Arbeloa and said that it would be better for both the teams if they finish their quarrel.

The Spanish internationals have been involved in a rant over Twitter on and off in the recent weeks, where both are voicing out their opinions about the opposing club teams.

Puyol, who is also a close friend of Pique said, “I think it’s better of neither of them continue this game, because a lot of kids will be watching.”
