As Lahore Qalandars suffered a five-wicket defeat against Karachi Kings on Thursday, their slow over-rate in the game has added insult to the injury as all the players are fined for 10 per cent of their match fee.
Qalandars breached article 2.5 of Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel, which relates to over-rate offences, the official statement of the PSL stated.
Lahore Qalandars fell one over short when time allowance was taken into consideration. It was the first offence of the team, which is why all the players were fined for 10 per cent of the fee.
If the team repeats the offence again in the tournament, the imposed fine will be twice with 20 per cent of the match fee of all the players.
Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets as they chased down the target of 134 runs in the last over after a thrilling encounter.
