There is not so much to lose for Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans but they will look to save pride as the face each other in their last game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Monday at National Stadium Karachi.

Despite having formidable sides, Qalandars and Sultans didn’t show their dominanceĀ on the field as they both failed to get their place in the top-four.

Having the likes of Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik Sultans look to overcome Qalandars in a high-octane clash where some stars of the game will be seen in action. Malik has so far scored 266 runs at an average of more than 44. The skipper of the team, which is the representative of South Punjab, is expected to lead his side to finish the fourth episode of the PSL on high.

Afridi, on the other hand, was off-color throughout the whole tournament but he can be dangerous for opponents once he gets the rhythm. James Vince and Umar Siddiq are the keys for Sultans to start their inning strongly with the bat.

The skipper of Qalandars Fakhar Zaman and their opening batsman Anton Devcich are likely to resist as they will approach highly to finish things well for them. The left-handed opener Fakhar has scored 232 runs so far and his inning against Islamabad United in Karachi was worthy for his team as it provided a good start to Qalandars while chasing a mammoth total of 239.

Sohail Akhtar is capable of finishing things well for Qalandars as the right-hander is powerful of hitting the ball hard. Haris Sohail will show his patience at the crease and try to keep ticking the scoreboard while tackling Qalandars’ middle-order batting.

The wicket-keeper batsman Rikki Wessels also has the aggressive style of batting and can be lethal for his team on his day.

In bowling, Mohammad Irfan and Junaid Khan will hold the command of Sultans and are looking forward to hunting wickets. Chris Green and Mohammad Irfan Khan will spin the bowls for Sultans.

Qalandars’ young bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf will show courage on a hot sunny day in Karachi. Sandeep Lamichane will deceive the batsman with his leg-spin.

Both the teams keep the ability to amuse the crowd with quality cricket. They both are out of the tournament but are keen to play a thriller before going home.
