Spaniard Rafael Nadal has made it into the final of the China open where he will face either Novak Djokovic or his fellow Spanish player David Ferrer.
Nadal has really come a long way from his first round exploits against the 230th seeded player where he was broken four times as he defeated the Italian Fabio Fognini in straight sets 7-5 and 6-3. Rafa’s firsts serve percentages were high and reached 745 which is better than his previous appearances on court. He also saved 505 of his break points and looked focused on defeating the Italian who knocked him out earlier at the US open.
Rafa will have strict challenge as he is likely to face the top ranked player Novak Djokovic who is in red hot form and will look to deny Nadal another hard court title. Rafa has failed to win a hard court title since Doha in 2014.
Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer will face off later today in the second semi final.
