Islamabad United has roped in aggressive T20 opener, Rafatullah Mohmand as a replacement for Sharjeel for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League.
Rafatullah is a seasoned domestic batsman and made his international debut for Pakistan on November 26, 2015 against England in Dubai, but failed to create an impact. The three-match series was his only outing in Pakistan’s outfit.
The 40-year old is an attacking opening batsman and extremely fit, he surely is one of the better fielders of Pakistan.
However, he has an impressive T20record as he average 26.84 with a strike rate of 133.23 in 56 appearances.
He has joined Islamabad United as a replacement for Sharjeel Khan, who has been suspended along with his teammate Khalid Latif by PCB from PSL 2017 for being allegedly involved in match fixing.
