Lahore: PCB had an informal discussion with Rameez Raja regarding Pakistan Super League, ARY News reported.

The formal announcement of his appointment as PSL ambassador is expected on Thursday. The former captain considers this event as the begining of a bright era for the national cricketers.

According to details  Rameez Raja visited Gaddafi stadium for an informal discussion related to PSL. He gave some valuable suggestions to the project head Salman Sarwar Butt, executive committee chairman Najam Sethi and other officials in the meeting. Sources say that the final decision of announcing the former captain as an ambassador will be made after discussion with Waseem Akram on Thursday.

Talking to media after meeting, Rameez Raja said that the PSL is a positive initiative and he is quite enthusiastic about this event.  He said usually 25 to 30 cricketers get contracts but PSL will try its best to accommodate around 100 cricketers. “February is a nice time for playing cricket and I am optimistic about the participation of international players.”

Answering to a question about accused players, he said, “There is no such word as pardon in my dictionary for the accused players.” The players accused in spot fixing are responsible for tarnishing the country’s image and such players should be kept away from representing Pakistan, said Rameez.
