Karachi: Former captain Ramiz Raja has lambasted Pakistan men’s cricket team over their ‘average performance’ in the T20I series against a 12th-ranked side of Zimbabwe.
According to renowned cricket commentator, despite winning the series 2-1, the performance has raised so many questions.
“Fans and pundits that it would be a one-sided affair but we didn’t see anything like that in any of these three matches, however, Pakistan had to dig hard to beat a 12th ranked side,” Ramiz said on his YouTube channel.
“If it would have been another team, Pakistan could not have won the series. This was an average performance,” he added.
Ramiz believes that the performance is due to the pathetic mindset of team management. “The performance stamps the mentality of the dugout as I think players are being told not to lose the match, no experiments, no unwanted chances and to play a strong team against Zimbabwe too,” he maintained.
It must be noted Green Shirts bag 2-1 win over Zimbabwe in a three-match T20I series after they won by 24 runs in the final T20I.
