Lahore: Former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja thinks that implementing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) model at First-Class level will lift the status of domestic cricket.
Replying to Test cricketer Kamran Akmal on Twitter, Raja highlighted how the PSL model can lift the country’s domestic cricket.
“To make it simple, just follow the successful PSL system/ model at the first-class level: cities, home & away matches, good pitches, overseas players, two& a half month window, sponsorship, tv. The fans will lap it up!” he wrote.

Akmal, who had often talked about the impacts the revamped domestic structure brought in, took notice of Raja’s tweet in which the cricketer-turned-commentator highlighted 4 things that can make Pakistan cricket ‘great’ once again.
“Ramiz Bhai which domestic cricket structure is better the one you made Regions Cricket Structure OR the lastest One???” he asked.

It must be noted here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), last year, shut down departmental cricket and introduced a new domestic structure based on six regions. The decision followed immense criticism on the cricket board.
