Rawalpindi lifted the trophy of the All Pakistan inter-board girls netball championship on Friday after defeating Hyderabad by 15-13.
Nimra was the star performer for Rawalpindi with 11 points while Madiha scored four points to hand her team an easy triumph.
For Hyderabad, Soha scored nine points while Sonam netted the ball four times to take their team’s score to 13.
On the other hand, Amna scored 17 points to help Lahore beat Islamabad by 17-11 to finish on the third position in the tournament.
Fareeha and Hamna put 6 and 5 points respectively on the scoreboard for Islamabad.
The chairman of Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF), Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the tournament and distributed the prize among the winners.
The Chairman Rawalpindi board of intermediate and Secondary Education, Dr. Tanveer Zafar, vice-president Women wing of Pakistan Netball Federation Ashia Arian, Director Sports Rawalpindi Board Sobia Sultana Chaudhry, President Islamabad Netball Association Col (R) Ghulam Murtaza Shah were also present on the occasion.
