Karachi: Misbah-ul-Haq has made the most of free time in quarantine as he is now ready to give fitness test with national team players once the coronavirus dies down and cricket activities resume.
While talking to Cricinfo, Misbah said that he got immense time to strengthen himself during this forced break from cricket.
“I’m spending my full time with family and even my kids are working out with me. I’m spending around 120 to 150 minutes a day on my training routines, and I think I’m ready again to undergo fitness test along with the national players,” Pakistan’s head coach-cum-chief selector said.
“I don’t think I have sat around facing such uncertainty in my entire career. I once sat at home recovering from jaundice. But this time, I’m lucky that I have taken the timely decision to have a fully equipped gym and nets facility at home. It’s good to have time to yourself, not doing anything, because I have been very busy recently and couldn’t manage my fitness routine,” he added.
It must be noted here that it’s been a while since any competitive cricket took place. The world is suffering from deadly coronavirus and several countries are locked down. All major sports events have been postponed for an indefinite period.
