Real Madrid C.F. player tested positive for coronavirus


Madrid: Real Madrid basketball first-team player has been tested positive of coronavirus, the club announced on Thursday.

The club has immediately followed the recommendation of remaining in quarantine. Both the teams of football and basketball first teams are in quarantine as the two squads share the facilities at Real Madrid City.

The club has also decided to close the training ground and it is also recommended that all Real Madrid staff who work at Real Madrid City remain in quarantine.

It must be noted that the Euro league basketball match and the LaLiga football fixture scheduled for today and tomorrow will not be played.

Earlier, star footballer Christiano Ronaldo roommate and Juventus teammate Daniele Rugani was also tested positive for coronavirus and Ronaldo is in quarantine after that.
