Real Madrid and Manchester City are all set to face off in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final as both teams look to secure a spot in the final of Europe’s most coveted championship.
After a goal less draw at the Etihad stadium the focus now shifts to the Bernabeu. Real Madrid clearly felt the absence of their ace player Cristiano Ronaldo who missed the match due to an hamstring strain but according to reports the striker will be available for the match and is fully fit. Ronaldo is the all time top scorer in UEFA Champions League with 93 goals. Ronaldo missed Real’s last two La Liga matches in order to recover quickly for the biggest match of the season for Real Madrid.
Benzema would miss the champions league clash as he is suffering from hamstring injury as well and he just did some of the running work on Monday during training which was inadequate considering the work he is supposed to carry out during the match. Benzema is a vital part of the Real Madrid side and he is currently going through his best season with the Los Blancos. He makes those crucial runs on the field and his through passes keep the side in good shape and this is what the Whites will be missing tonight.
It is astonishing to state that Real Madrid have not conceded a goal at home this season during Champions League matches and have score 18 goals against sides visiting the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are currently third on the La Liga table and they can not afford to slip up in this match as their hopes of securing a title this year will be in jeopardy especially considering the fact that only two matches are left in La Liga and chance so Los Blancos securing the title are slim.
