Rizwan gets reward for Rawalpindi Test century


KARACHI: Mohammad Rizwan impressed cricket fans by scoring a match-winning century for Pakistan against South Africa in the second Test at Rawalpindi. 

With this impressive performance and maiden Test ton, Rizwan has now moved up to the career-best 16th Rank in International Cricket Council (ICC)’s updated Test rankings.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam has settled at number 6 in the rankings. Indian skipper Virat Kohli dropped down to the fifth spot in ICC Test rankings for batsmen.

No Pakistani bowler has made it into the top 10 bowlers in updated rankings. Hasan Ali has improved his ranking after taking 10-wicket haul against South Africa in the second Test. The right-arm pacer has gained 32nd rank.

It must be noted here that ICC has updated Test rankings after the completion of Test between Pakistan and South Africa, and the first Test between India and England, West Indies and Bangladesh.
