Lahore: Rohail Nazir has been included in Pakistan’s squad as a back-up wicket-keeper for ‘bio-secure’ England tour, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Thursday.
Rohail has joined the team as fifth reserved players who will travel to England after 10 players out of 29 tested COVID-19 positive. The wicket-keeper batsman alongside other reserved cricketers including Mohammad Nawaz, Imran Butt, Musa Khan, and Bilal Asif has been tested for the widely spread virus.
On the other hand, Players, officials, who were tested negative, gave samples for COVID-19 test for the second time. However, COVID-19 positive players will be tested tomorrow again.
COVID-19 positives include Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Shadab Khan.
