Karachi: Former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh has said that Rohit Sharma reminded of former Pakistan captain and batting legend Inzamam-ul-Haq in his early days.
The 38-year-old revealed his first impression about Rohit batting was like somebody who has a lot of time in playing strokes.
“I think when he came into the Indian team, he looked somebody who had a lot of time,” Yuvraj said in a YouTube chat show. “He reminded me of Inzamam-ul-Haq because when Inzi batted, he had a lot of time to play the bowlers,” he added.
Inzamam is one of the greatest batsmen, Pakistan has ever produced. The veteran went on to play 120 Tests and 378 ODIs in his career and scored 8830 and 11739 runs respectively. On the other hand, Rohit has scored more than 9000 runs in 224 ODIs but in Test cricket. the 32-year-old is way behind in numbers.
