Real Madrid club legend Francisco Gento believes that if Bale and Ronaldo helped each other it would be a great benefit to the team and the side will reach new levels if the duo coordinate in a better fashion.

The two players have been instrumental in Real Madrid’s remarkable comeback in the La Liga title race and helping them seal a spot in the final of the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo has scored 49 goals this season while his team mate, the Welshman, Gareth Bale has netted 20 goals.

“They are two great players. There are few like them,” Gento told AS.

“If they were to link up a little better and help each other a little more, they would win more.”

Madrid head into this weekend’s last La Liga match against Deportivo where they must win the match and hope that FC Barcelona falter against Granada because that will mean that the Los Blancos will be crowned champions.

Zinedine Zidane’s men will then take part in the Champions League final versus city rivals Atletico Madrid on May 28, in a repeat of the 2014 final where the Whites came back from behind to lift the title for a record 10th time.
