Ronaldo highest paid athlete in Forbes’ global celebrity 100

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two of the world’s greatest footballers and are considered to be top notch athletes, but according to Forbes, they also rank among the top 10 of the world’s highest-paid celebrities.

Ronaldo is tied for No. 4 overall (and tops among athletes) with TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw in Forbes magazine’s Global Celebrity 100. That ranking comes due to $88 million he earned between June 2015 and June 2016 which includes both salary and endorsements. Messi is also not far behind and sits at No. 8 with total earnings of $81.5 million.

NBA star LeBron James sis slotted in at number 11 with earnings around $77 million. The Swiss tennis star Roger Federer is positioned at number 16th.
