Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly left the staff at a Greek hotel a £17,850 tip after staying there with his family and friends.
Still, that doesn’t make this gesture any less generous. The hotel thanked Ronaldo for staying (and we bet they didn’t mind his parting gift)!
Ronaldo stayed at the Costa Navarino resort in the western Peloponnese after Portugal were knocked out of the World Cup, taking his family and friends to stay in its Royal Methoni villa for ten days.
The villa, which has hosted A-list guests including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the past, comes with round-the-clock butler service as well as being surrounded by sand dunes to block out any pesky paparazzi.
However, Ronaldo wanted some extra assistance from the hotel staff to keep photographers at bay – and when they did a top job, he gave them a rather large tip when he departed the resort.
‘The 10 employees, who had been tasked with providing services to Ronaldo’s family and to keep them away from the paparazzi, each received €2,000. So that’s a casual €20,000, or £17,850, tip. No biggie. The resort shared a picture of Ronaldo on their Instagram story and wrote:
‘It was an honor and a great experience for our team to look after Cristiano Ronaldo and his family.
