Real Madrid’s star striker Cristiano Ronaldo will undergo a stem cell treatment to recover in time for his team’s second leg clash at home against Manchester City.
The Portuguese striker missed Real Madrid’s first leg of semi-final against Manchester City which ended in a draw and his absence was clearly felt by the Los Blancos because they found it difficult to create opportunities and move forward with intent.
‘On Tuesday night at the Etihad, Ronaldo said: ‘It’s still sensitive. I’ll wait for the next game. If it was a final I would have played.’
His mother, Aveiro, at the launch of her new biography said: ‘He is fine, he is not at 100 percent, but he is at 80 percent. I think that he will be back next week.’
Ronaldo was initially expected to play the match against City because Zidane said that both the players were 100 percent fit to play the game but just before the game Ronaldo was declared unfit and Benzema was substituted at the half way mark.
After the game against City Ronaldo posted two images of the Gym with the words ‘Don’t worry and be happy’.
