Sana Mir says ‘I’ll quit captaincy’ after the WT20

Lahore: After being given security assurance both the men and women cricket teams depart for India. Pakistan women team captain Sana Mir says she’ll quit captaincy after the WT20.

Pakistan women cricket team has left for Quaid e Azam International airport to participate in WT20 tournament. The Pakistani and Indian women teams will face each other on 19th March.

In the previous T20 world cup Pakistan women team had defeated India. The team departs for India via Dubai to play in Chennai.

Coach Mohtashim Rasheed says the team is in fully prepared for WT20 however it won’t be able to play practice match in India. The coach said match against India is always crucial whether its a men’s or women’s cricket match.
Captain Sana Mir says we’ll try to perform well in the event by playing every match to win and give such a performance which brings respect to our country.

She said we will have to beat India and the West Indies to move to the next round and further said she intends leaving captaincy after the WT20.
