Pakistani Taekwondo master Sannan Ashfaq clinched the silver medal in Belgium Taekwondo Championship in Europe on Tuesday.
Sannan participated in the cadet category of the event and defeated his Russian counterpart in 65Kg Class in the semi-final of the event. He got injured in the final and settled on the second slot of the extravaganza.
The young Pakistani athlete thanked the god for becoming the first Taekwondo master to bag a medal in Europe. “It’s a tremendous achievement for me as a player and more importantly for my country which gave me an identity,” he said.
Sannan hopes to continue winning titles for his country as the youngster keeps strong abilities in the game. “I want to achieve many more for my country,” he stated.
