Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed along with ten other cricketers are at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore for the fitness tests which will be held today and tomorrow.
The fitness test includes a review of players’ Fat analysis, strength, endurance, speed endurance, and cross-fit.
The two-day fitness tests of Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir will be held on January 20 and 21 as they are in Bangladesh for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Usman Shinwari’s fitness test will also be in the second phase due to typhoid. Fitness tests for Azhar Ali, Mohammad Rizwan and Asad Shafiq to be taken later due to viral infection.
Fakhar Zaman and Hassan Ali’s fitness tests will be after clearance of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel.
It must be noted that if a player fails to meet the requirements, he will be fined 15 percent of his monthly retainer.
