Lahore: Pakistan former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to make a comeback in the T20I series against Bangladesh in Pakistan starting from January 24.

According to the sources, the wicket-keeper batsman name is under consideration after good performances in domestic cricket and also improving fitness in the recently conducted fitness tests at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who rested in the series against Australia, will also return to the squad. The squad will be announced today.

After the heavy defeats against Sri Lanka and Australia, Pakistan’s world number one ranking is in danger. Pakistan team management is worried and wants Green shirts to come back on the winning track.

It must be noted that Bangladesh will play the T20I series in the first phase at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Bangladesh will return to Pakistan for the first Test of the ICC World Test Championship to be held in Rawalpindi from February 7-11.

After the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Bangladesh will now visit the city of lights, Karachi to play one ODI on April 3 and second Test from 5-9 April.
