Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed thinks that strong approach will help them lift the trophy in upcoming World Cup slated to start from May 30 in England and Wales.
Sarfraz while talking to the media in Karachi said that they have initially planned the things for World Cup but this is time to play the Pakistan Suoer League (PSL).
“World Cup is a big event and we have plans to prepare ourselves strongly,” he said.
Sarfraz said that their team is in good knick and players have the potential to win big titles. He further said that along with strong team management they will look formidable in the mega event.
“Team have string combination. Players are motivated and dream off lifting the coveted trophy,” said Sarfraz who was named the captain of the team in the World Cup by PCB’s chairman Ehsan Mani.
Sarfraz admires Imran Khan as a leader and will try to turn the things for his team as Khan did in the 1992 World Cup which Pakistan won.
“Imran Bhai is my role model and I always try to follow him as a leader,” he said.
Sarfraz, on the other hand, is positive to lead his team Quetta Gladiators over the victory line in the upcoming fourth edition of the PSL.
“Our team has some good players. We will try to form strong combinations and win the trophy this time,” he said.
