Sarfraz Ahmed considers MS Dhoni his idol

Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed has been a consistent performer for Pakistan in the recent past and on many occasions he has provided Pakistan with good knocks coming lower down the order which provided stability to the fragile middle order. Talking to reporters Sarfraz Ahmed has said that he considers Dhoni as an inspiration and idolizes him. He added that Dhoni is a great keeper and in the future he would like to finish matches for Pakistan in the same manner that MS does for India.

“Absolutely, Dhoni inspires me. He does it for wicket-keeping and batting both. He is a great keeper. I idolise him. The way he finishes an innings I would like to do the same for Pakistan too,” Sarfraz told reporters

“I hope I can fit in wherever possible and contribute for the team. Going forward also, I will try and do the same, that is, play where the team management needs me,” he said.

Regarding the 19th March clash between Pakistan and India Sarfraz said that it’s a huge event and Pakistan will try to beat India and finally break the jinx of not beating India in World Cup matches. Sarfraz added that he will try to play his natural game and hopefully help Pakistan succeed in this big match.

“It is a big game. Both teams will be under immense pressure. The atmosphere will be great, I am sure. Also we have never won in a World Cup (against India). We will try and win here and break the jinx. We will try to play good cricket,” he said.

“As for me, I have played in India-Pakistan games before. The big crowd will be a motivation and we will go for a win.”

“I just have one style. I will try and play my natural game,”
