Sarfraz Ahmed demands even schedule for all teams

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed did not mince words when he objected to the schedule of the Asia Cup with India playing all their Super Four games in Dubai and Pakistan were left to travel to Abu Dhabi twice.

The organizers said that as hosts India have the right to get the best scheduling but Sarfraz was seemingly not happy.

Pakistan skipper highlighted the difficulties that teams face due to travelling.

“If you talk about the pool that even if India loses they will remain here (in Super Four),” said Sarfraz. “Travelling is an issue, so that if you travel for one and a half hour during matches then its tough, in this weather its tough and then after one day you play another game,” Sarfraz Ahmed said.

Sarfraz Ahmed also criticised Asian Cricket Council for the unfair schedule and stated that every team has to play there.

“I think it should be even for all the team whether its India or Pakistan. If there are matches in Abu Dhabi then every team has to play there. I don’t know what has the Asian Cricket Council done about it,” he added.

On a question regarding PCB’s complaint against the schedule, Pakistan’s skipper was unsure about it.

“I don’t know but whatever may be the reservations PCB would have been doing something,” he stated.
