Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed showed massive improvement in his fitness, ARY Sports reported.
According to the sources, Sarfraz, who was ousted from the team for his poor form and fitness, once again knocked the doors of the national team with improved fitness. He gave fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore alongside other national cricketers.
Opening batsman Shan Masood and number one T20I ranked batsman Babar Azam came up with flying colors in the test. Abid Ali has also improved his fitness level. Imad Wasim and Yasir Shah are under assessment for further review.
On the other hand, Test captain Azhar Ali, Mohammad Rizwan, and Asad Shafiq will give fitness Tests later.
It must be noted here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to fine those players who will fail in the Fitness Test. The cricket board has no tolerance over fitness issues.
Pakistan cricket team’s next assignment is against Bangladesh in January. Bangladesh is scheduled to play three T20Is and two Tests in Pakistan.
