Sarfraz Ahmed wants his bowlers to stay strong


Pakistan team captain Sarfraz Ahmed backed his bowlers and said that a positive approach will help them win against England in upcoming matches.

“I know our bowlers were not up to the mark but they have the strength to beat world’s strong batting lines,” Sarfraz said in a video message.

Sarfraz highly rated team’s performance against England in the second ODI where they stood firm while chasing 374 runs but fell just 13 runs short.

“Our batters showed their strength and it is a positive sign for us. They need to carry such strong performance in upcoming matches,” said Sarfraz.

The skipper especially praised Fakhar Zaman for his blistering inning and coined his role important for the team ahead.

“It is one the positives for us that Fakhar is back in form. He can turn matches in your favor with his hard-hitting abilities,” he said.

Talking about Mohammad Amir, Sarfraz said that his role is important for them and they are hoping for his comeback in the last two games.

“Amir is important for us and this series was crucial for him as well,” he said.

The wicket-keeper batsman said that the team is confident and will make a strong comeback in the third ODI. “Our morale is high and will compete strongly against the home side,” he concluded.

It is pertinent to mention here that England are 1-0 up in five-match ODI series.
