Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz Ahmed gave full marks to bowlers for getting the most of the Australian batsmen in the second Test of the two-match Test series which they clinched by 1-0.
Sarfraz while talking to the media said that bowlers did a great job pocketing a comfortable victory against Aussies.
“All praise for bowlers especially Abbas who’s passion is enough to take wickets,” he said.
He also hailed Fakhar Zaman for playing an important knock alongside him in the first inning to lift Pakistan from 57-5 to 282.
“Here I must appreciate Fakhar who played an important role at crucial moments to help Pakistan cross the victory line,” said Sarfraz who was satisfied with team’s performance in the Test series which ended on a winning note for them.
Wicket-keeper batsman also had a word about debutant Mir Hamza who took bowled with accurate line and length.
“I think an impressive performance from Hamza who was making his Test debut,” he said.
Sarfraz said that in these sort of series pressure handling is really important to achieve good results.
“I think the pressure was on both the teams but we handled it better than them,” he added.
Sarfraz who himself was in outclass form in this test having scored 175 runs in two innings feels that there is a space of improvement in the team’s performance.
He, when asked to rate current Test squad, said that “We need to improve lots of things as coming tours are tougher,”
Sarfraz said that now he is fine and will lead the side in coming T20 matches against Australia.
“I am completely fine now. It was a minor headache in the morning that’s why did not play the match,” he said.
It is important to mention here that Sarfraz was hit on the head by Siddle which caused a little pain in his head hence advised for taking a rest.
