Captain of Pakistan Cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed was approached by a bookie for the spot-fixing before the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka, the match was won by Pakistan on Wednesday.
The offer was made to Pakistan’s captain and he reported the matter to the anti-corruption unit of Pakistan cricket broad (PCB). Pakistan’s Skipper followed the procedure of informing the PCB as soon as possible, as laid down in the players’ code.
According to the sources, the person who approached Sarfraz Ahmed for the spot-fixing is a generally known person of UAE cricket and PCB will file a case against him.
Due to PSL spot-fixing scandal, PCB has changed the hotel of Pakistan cricket team in which they used to stay in UAE.
Moreover, PCB’s anti-corruption tribunal banned Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan for the five years for breaching anti-corruption code during PSL 2017.
