Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination expressed concerns over the new domestic cricket structure of the country proposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
In a meeting with the delegation of the cricket board on Tuesday, members of the committee voiced against ending the role of departments in the domestic structure.
“Departments should not be discarded from the domestic circuit immediately,” said Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan.
Khan suggested the PCB to discuss any proposed changes in the structure with all the stake holders before coming to any conclusion.
“I am afraid PCB’s revolutionary decisions can fire back,” he went on to say.
On the other hand, Senator Faisal Javed accused Khan of being a critique of the proposed domestic structure blueprint because he opposes the ideology of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Earlier, PM Khan had ordered to revamp the domestic cricket structure of the country and end the role of departments in it.
