Real Madrid captain and top notch defender Sergio Ramos has said that his teammate Gareth Bale is in red hot form these days and at the moment the Welshman is pretty much impossible.

“Gareth is in frightening form at the moment,” said Ramos. “The way he is playing he looks unstoppable.”, Ramos was quoted as saying by The Mirror.

The Spanish national added that Bale has the experience of playing against Manchester City and this could just be the advantage they need over their rivals and Bale has the ability to lead them through this first leg match through his individual brilliance.

“Here, of course, he has experience of playing against Manchester City, many of their players, and at their stadium.”

“But in a game like this it can be about a bit of individual quality, which he is more than capable of producing.”

He stressed on the importance of strikers performing but he also mentioned the importance of staying put in defense against the quality forwards of Manchester City. Ramos added that the crucial away goal could be the deciding factor between the two sides.

“The attacking players we have are very special, but we defenders are going to have to do a big job in Manchester.”

“It’s going to be important to try to get an away goal, but also it’s just as important to stop Manchester City scoring.”

“That will not be an easy challenge with the players they have, but if we can achieve that, then it will put us in a great position for the second game in Madrid.”

Sergio Ramos said that it would be unfair to underestimate City as they are a quality side and, although, Madrid might have won 10 European titles but it’s a new day and anything can happen.

“The players at Madrid are not entering the game thinking we are favourites,” said Ramos.

“We might have won the competition 10 times and this might be their first semi-final, but history won’t have any influence on the two games.”

“They have a team full of great players, we have a team full of great players, it is a very evenly balanced duel.”
