Executive Committee’s Chairman, Najam Sethi looked positive regarding the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore. However, he refused to disclose any details. He shared that there is a clause in the form given to players that they will have to come and play the final in Lahore if there team qualifies for the final.

He also said that he has talked to the Chief Minister of Punjab and he has assured all the support, “We have full support of Punjab Chief Minister and we are in touch with administration to organise PSL final in Lahore.”

Najam Sethi was also questioned about the farewell of Shahid Afridi on which he coined him as the biggest star produced by Pakistan in modern era.

“Afridi is a star player and we will do everything for him,” he said. “I will be meeting Shahid Afridi and will discuss the situation with him”, he added.

Shahid Afridi, who has won a number of matches for Pakistan and had the record of fastest century for a long period of time, wants to call it day for international cricket, but, he desires for a respectful exit.

However, Najam Sethi told that people that are directly concerned with Pakistan cricket such as the PCB boss Shahryar Khan, chief selector Inzamam Ul Haq and the head coach Mickey Arthur are not in favour of disturbing the team’s professionalism. But, still they will look to give the veteran allrounder an honourable exit.

On another question about the comments of BCCI President, Anuarag Thakur, Najam Sethi said that the PCB is well-prepared to reply the neighbour’s board.

“We will give befitting response to Anurag Thakur,” Sethi replied on Thakur’s words about putting Pakistan and India in separate pools.
